About TAW

What is The Architecture Within?

The Architecture Within (TAW) is a structural behavioural analysis platform. It helps you understand the underlying patterns in how you think, make decisions, relate to others, and reorganise under pressure. TAW maps these patterns across four structural axes to produce your personal Architecture — a model of your behavioural structure.

Is TAW a personality test?

TAW is not a traditional personality test. It does not place you in a fixed type or label. Instead, it maps your structural patterns across a spectrum of four axes, showing both your baseline patterns and how those patterns shift under stress. The goal is self-awareness and structural clarity, not categorisation.

Is TAW based on science?

TAW is not a professional or medical service, and it does not perform formal assessment, evaluation or treatment. TAW uses structured behavioural patterns and classical pattern libraries to organise and interpret information provided by users and to generate reflections about behavioural tendencies, interaction styles and responses to different situations. These outputs are intended for informational and self-reflection purposes only. Accordingly, TAW should not be understood as providing professional conclusions of any kind, nor as a substitute for advice, assessment or treatment provided by a qualified physician or other healthcare professional. Where TAW refers to behavioural concepts, those concepts are used solely as part of the framework through which the platform structures and presents user-provided information and do not turn the service into a regulated professional practice.

Who is TAW for?

TAW is for anyone who wants to develop a clearer understanding of their own patterns — how they operate, why they respond the way they do under pressure, and how they connect with others. It is particularly useful for people interested in self-development, improving relationships, and understanding their stress responses.

The Assessment

How does the assessment work?

The assessment consists of 96 questions across four structural axes, divided into baseline and stress response sections. You rate each statement on a 1–5 scale. The baseline section captures your default patterns; the stress section captures how those patterns shift under pressure. The assessment takes approximately 15–25 minutes.

What are the four axes?

The four axes are: Structure ↔ Adaptation (how you organise and respond to change), Outcome ↔ Relationship (what you prioritise — results or connection), Stability ↔ Exploration (how you relate to certainty and novelty), and Internal ↔ External (where your processing is directed). Each axis is scored independently on a 1–5 scale.

Can I retake the assessment?

Yes. You can retake the assessment at any time. Each submission generates a new profile. The Platform stores your most recent profile and uses continuity data to track changes across versions.

How honest should I be?

As honest as possible. The assessment is designed to map your actual patterns, not an ideal version of yourself. There are no right or wrong answers. Patterns you may view negatively are not treated as flaws — they are structural information. The more honest your responses, the more accurate and useful your profile will be.

What is the Structural Stress Index (SSI)?

The SSI is a composite measure of how much your behavioural patterns shift between your baseline and stress states. A higher SSI indicates greater structural movement under pressure. It is not a measure of instability — some degree of drift is natural and expected. The SSI helps you understand your stress signature.

Your Profile and Report

What is my Architecture?

Your Architecture is your structural identity — a label derived from your axis score pattern that describes your dominant behavioural structure. It comes with a narrative interpretation explaining what that pattern looks like in practice, under stress, and in relationships.

What does 'drift' mean in my report?

Drift is the difference between your baseline score and your stress score on a given axis. A high drift on an axis means your behaviour on that dimension shifts significantly under pressure. Understanding your drift patterns helps you recognise your stress responses before they become problematic.

What are the narrative sections in my report?

The narrative sections are AI-generated interpretations of your structural profile. They describe your patterns in plain language — how you likely operate in your default state, how you tend to reorganise under stress, and what this means for your relationships and decisions. These are starting points for reflection, not definitive statements.

Can I listen to my report?

Yes. On both the web and mobile platforms, your report includes a voice feature that reads your full report aloud. Use the Listen button at the bottom of the report screen.

Compatibility and Matching

How does compatibility work?

TAW compares your structural profile with the profiles of other users to calculate a compatibility score. The score reflects structural alignment and complementarity across the four axes. High compatibility does not guarantee a good relationship — it indicates structural resonance, which is one factor among many in any relationship.

What is Relationship Intelligence?

Relationship Intelligence is a deep analysis of the dynamic between your profile and a specific match's profile. It covers axis alignment, predicted relationship dynamics, stress interaction patterns, growth potential, and practical guidance for navigating the connection.

Can other users see my profile?

Only if you choose to enable discoverability in your Profile Sharing settings. You have full control over whether your profile is discoverable and whether you appear in other users' compatibility results. You can change these settings at any time.

How do match requests work?

When you discover a compatible profile, you can send a match request. If the other user accepts, you become matched and can exchange messages and view each other's Relationship Intelligence report. You can view pending and sent requests in the Match Requests section.

Connection Types & Matching

What are Connection Types?

Connection Types let you choose the kind of connection you're open to — Romance, Friendship, or Business partnership — and tune each one separately. You activate the types you want in Connection Types, set what you're looking for in Match Preferences, then browse people for a specific intent from the discovery view. Each type is independent: you can be discoverable for friendship but not romance, for example.

Does setting preferences change my compatibility score?

No. Your structural compatibility score comes only from your assessment and stays exactly the same. Your preferences act as a separate signal: they filter out people who don't fit your hard requirements and gently re-rank the rest, but the structural score you see is never altered. We show both so you can weigh structural resonance and practical fit side by side.

What's the difference between a hard filter and a soft signal?

Some preferences exclude people who don't match (hard filters) — for romance these are gender preferences, age range, and the countries you're open to, applied in both directions. Everything else is a soft signal: it nudges ranking without removing anyone. Friendship and business treat country as a soft signal rather than a hard filter.

How does location work? Do you track my GPS?

No GPS or precise location is ever collected. Geography is handled at the country level only: you can set your country and, per connection type, a list of countries you're open to. Leaving that list empty means you're open to anywhere.

What does the business “capital role” mean? Is TAW an investment platform?

No. The capital role is a category you declare — such as seeking investment, can invest, or sweat equity — to help surface complementary partners. It is never a monetary amount, and TAW does not broker, hold, or facilitate any funds or financial transactions. It is not financial advice.

Is the information people share verified?

No. Preferences and self-attributes are self-declared and not verified by TAW. Treat them as a starting point, use your own judgement, and exercise ordinary caution when connecting with anyone new.

AI Companion and Daily Reflection

What is the AI Companion?

The AI Companion is a conversational interface powered by Anthropic's Claude model. It is aware of your structural profile and can help you explore your patterns, ask questions about your report, and reflect on specific situations through the lens of your Architecture. It is not a substitute for professional support.

What is Daily Reflection?

Daily Reflection provides a daily reflection prompt tailored to your structural profile, a mood check-in, and a space to log your reflections. It tracks your streak and generates weekly AI insights based on your reflection history.

Is AI-generated content always accurate?

AI-generated content is based on your profile data and is designed to be relevant and thoughtful. However, it is generated algorithmically and may not always fully reflect your individual nuance. Treat it as a prompt for reflection rather than authoritative truth.

Profile Wall

What is the Profile Wall?

The Profile Wall is a space to share short posts from your structural journey — reflections, insights from your report, and milestones. You can optionally attach an element of your report, such as a radar snapshot, and others can react to what you share.

Who can see what I post?

You choose a visibility level for each post. “Public” posts can be seen by anyone who can view your wall, including people you haven't matched with. “Matches-only” posts are limited to people you've matched with. Pick the level you're comfortable with, and avoid posting anything sensitive you wouldn't want publicly visible.

What are reactions?

Reactions are a lightweight way to respond to a post — resonate, insightful, or support. You can add or remove your reactions at any time, and the counts are visible on each post.

How is wall content moderated, and can I report a post?

Posts pass through automated screening that can block or flag content, and you can report any post you believe breaks our rules. Reports are reviewed by us, and you can delete your own posts at any time. Automated screening isn't perfect, so use your own judgement.

Account and Data

How do I delete my account?

Delete your account yourself from your Account page — no request or email needed. Deletion is immediate, not scheduled: there is no waiting period and no recoverable state afterwards. Copies can persist in backup storage for up to 14 weeks, and an abuse report filed about an account is kept for 24 months from the date it was filed, pseudonymously and by uid only. Anonymised, aggregated data may be retained for platform improvement.

How is my data stored?

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), a secure cloud database. Your profile, assessment responses, messages, and reflection data are associated with your account. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data storage and third-party services.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Under GDPR, you have the right to data portability. To request a copy of your data in a structured format, email admin@thearchitecturewithin.com.

Is TAW free?

Yes, TAW is currently free. We may introduce subscription plans in the future that unlock advanced features such as extended AI interpretations and enhanced companion access. Core features will remain free. You will be notified well in advance of any changes.
